Supportive Counseling Services

Guiding you through life's challenges with compassion and expertise in various therapeutic approaches.

Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy, also known as psychotherapy or talk therapy, is a one-on-one experience for teens aged 13-17 and adults aged 18-64. It takes place in a comfy, safe, and confidential virtual therapy room. We use a flexible treatment approach based on what you need, which we figure out together during your first visit, monthly check-ins, or as we see what works best for you along the way.

Relationship Therapy

Relationship therapy is a way for friends, couples, and partners to work on their relationship. It's all about finding out what each person needs and using that info to help in sessions, whether during the first visit, monthly check-ins, or whenever specific care needs pop up.

Sometimes, the Esteem Counselor will chat with each partner separately during the joint sessions to understand how everyone is feeling and what they need or want in the relationship.

Family systems therapy is basically a type of therapy that looks at the whole family as a unit. It's all about using a mix of approaches to help out, based on how everyone interacts and what they need, which we figure out during the first visit, the monthly check-ins, or whenever we see there are certain needs.

In some cases, the Esteem Counselor might sit down with family members one-on-one during therapy sessions to get a better feel for how each person feels, what they need, and what they want in relation to the family.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I was taught Solution Focused Brief Therapy by the late Insoo Kim Berg, a pioneering psychotherapist whose husband, Steve De Shazer, developed the field. Utilizing it in my work, I help individuals deal with stress, anxiety, mild depression, relationship problems, and occasional family disputes.

Motivational Interviewing

Alongside a group of trained colleagues, I received monthly feedback on my calls and training in Motivational Interviewing (MI) from William Miller, one of the co-founders of MI. I utilize MI when a client is uncertain and contemplating a change in their life.

A book titled 'Scriptural Guide to Overcoming 7 Mental Ailments' lies next to a pair of black-rimmed glasses, a large beige flower, and another book titled 'The Bible Promise Book.' These items are placed on a textured, multicolored knitted fabric, and there is a black cup next to the items.

I felt truly supported during my life transition. Leslie's expertise is invaluable and comforting.
